Our founder brings a unique and diversified skillset to each project, based on living & traveling in many places/cultures around the world, taught from an ancestral history of Tri-State Area farmers & steel workers, and long careers from fine dining to tech.

Hailing from the Garden State and the eldest son of a nurse and physicist, Brit Wilkens grew up on a small family farm, blessed with traditional chores from milking goats to spinning honey. Along with sister Amy and brother Ben, the family left New Jersey in the early 90s and moved to Scottsdale, AZ.

The change from the woods & beaches of the east coast to southwest was visually dramatic, and began an obsession with the desert. In 1995, Brit joined his uncle in Rwanda, and spent the year helping rebuild the country as it emerged from the genocide. It was in this enviorment that Brit was forever Africanized, like a killer bee.

Brit moved to California in 1996 and settled in the North Bay, living in Angwin, Saint Helena, American Canyon, and eventually Sonoma. Now, almost 30 years later, he’s blessed with his wife Kathy, a local Dermatology PA, and his two wonderful daughters Trinity Samay, and Malindi Mayu.

Killer B Gardens also came about organically, born from lifelong hobbies of gardening and koi ponds, and he started building for friends & family. The brand officialy began in the late 0s as a cannabis garden designer & builder during the Prop 215 era. The passion grew to a point that it’s become time to share on another level, and pour everything into soul projects. In 2025 Brit Wilkens left the tech world behind after over 20 years in telecom, and vowed never to return!

Now, Brit weaves his obsession with nature, and years of experience using the elements in construction + backed by a small network of local artists and professional landscapers, Brit Wilkens will lead Killer B Gardens through any projects in Sonoma, Napa, Marin, and Solano counties.
